Key Responsibilities:
Sales Strategy & Execution:
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with company objectives, including revenue targets, market penetration goals, and customer acquisition plans.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track sales progress, identify areas for improvement, and measure the effectiveness of sales initiatives.
Team Leadership & Management:
- Lead, motivate, and mentor a high-performing sales team, providing ongoing coaching, guidance, and support to maximize individual and team performance.
- Conduct regular team meetings, performance reviews, and sales training sessions to enhance team skills, knowledge, and productivity.
- Recruit, hire, and onboard talented sales professionals to strengthen the sales team.
Customer Relationship Management:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, including C-level executives, through proactive engagement, personalized service, and value-added solutions.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing and potential customer accounts.
- Proactively address customer concerns and resolve issues to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new market segments and business opportunities to expand the company's market reach and customer base.
- Explore and evaluate potential partnerships and alliances with other industry players to leverage synergies and enhance market position.
Internal Collaboration:
- Collaborate effectively with other departments, including Operations, Finance, Customer Service, and Marketing, to ensure seamless execution of sales plans and customer service delivery.
- Provide timely and accurate sales reports and forecasts to management, including key metrics, sales trends, and competitive analysis.
Stay Informed:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, regulations, and best practices in the Shipping and Logistics Freight Forwarding sector.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and seminars to network, build relationships, and gain insights into market developments.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive sales experience in the Shipping and Logistics Freight Forwarding industry, with a proven track record of exceeding sales targets.
Skills:
- Leadership & Management: Strong leadership, mentorship, and team management skills with the ability to motivate, inspire, and guide a high-performing sales team.
- Sales & Business Development: Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies, identify and pursue new business opportunities, and build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders at all levels.
