Job Overview:
- We are seeking an innovative and experienced Social Media Director to lead the development and execution of our social media strategy.
- As a key player in our edtech company's growth, you will oversee the creation of impactful campaigns, engage diverse audiences, and build a strong online presence to drive brand awareness, user engagement, and lead generation.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy Development:
- Design and implement a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with the company's objectives, targeting students, educators, parents, and institutions.
- Stay ahead of social media trends and identify new opportunities to grow the brand's presence and reach.
Content and Campaign Management:
- Oversee the creation of engaging, educational, and brand-appropriate content (text, images, videos, and infographics).
- Plan, execute, and analyze multi-platform campaigns to drive engagement, traffic, and conversions.
- Ensure consistent messaging and tone of voice across all platforms.
Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a team of social media managers, content creators, and designers.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and sales teams to align social media efforts with broader business goals.
- Partner with influencers, educators, and thought leaders to amplify reach and impact.
Analytics and Performance Tracking:
- Monitor social media metrics and analyze performance against KPIs (e.g., engagement rate, follower growth, lead conversions).
- Provide actionable insights and recommendations to optimize strategies.
- Prepare and present regular reports to stakeholders.
Community Engagement:
- Foster an active and engaged online community through timely responses to comments, messages, and reviews.
- Implement strategies to handle crisis communication or negative feedback professionally.
- Advertising and Budget Management
- Manage paid social media campaigns to achieve maximum ROI.
- Allocate and monitor budgets for social media initiatives effectively.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in social media management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of driving growth and engagement on major platforms (e.g., Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook).
- Experience in the edtech , Fintech, ecommerce, or education sector is highly desirable.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and trends.
- Proficiency in tools like Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social, or similar.
- Excellent storytelling, writing, and editing skills.
- Analytical mindset with experience using tools like Google Analytics and social media analytics platforms.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (Master's preferred).
