Role & responsibilities

• Lesson Planning & Preparation:
  Develop lesson plans, curriculum, and instructional materials tailored to students' needs and curriculum requirements.
• Organize and execute daily lessons and activities, ensuring they are engaging and educational.
• Classroom Management:
  Maintain a positive learning environment by establishing classroom rules, managing student behavior, and fostering respect and discipline.
• Ensure that students are engaged and motivated to participate actively in lessons.
• Assessment & Evaluation:
  Assess students' understanding through tests, quizzes, assignments, projects, and observations.
• Provide constructive feedback and grades on students' work and progress.
• Student Support & Guidance:
  Identify students' academic and personal needs, offering additional help or referring them to school counselors or specialists.
• Encourage students' social and emotional development.
• Parent Communication:
  Regularly communicate with parents or guardians about students' progress, behavior, and any concerns.
• Attend parent-teacher meetings to discuss the students' achievements and areas for improvement.
• Professional Development:
  Participate in training, workshops, and conferences to stay updated on educational trends, technologies, and teaching methods.
• Collaborate with other teachers, school staff, and leadership to improve the quality of education.
• Administrative Duties:
  Keep accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.
• Assist with administrative tasks like preparing reports and maintaining classroom supplies.

Preferred candidate profile

• Educational Qualifications:
• A bachelor's degree (at minimum) in education or the specific subject area taught.
• Certification in teaching (e.g., B.Ed., M.Ed., or equivalent qualification).
• Experience:
• Previous teaching experience, especially in a classroom environment, is highly preferred but not always required.
• Experience working with children of different age groups and diverse learning needs is a plus.
• Skills:
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive, engaging learning environment.
• Familiarity with modern teaching tools, digital platforms, and educational technologies.
