Job Responsibilities:
- The Business Development is responsible for leading and overseeing all sales, marketing, and business development activities within the region for a nutraceutical ingredient company.
- This role focuses on expanding market presence, driving revenue growth, and establishing strategic partnerships to maximize business opportunities and achieve organizational objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for all key accounts in the assigned region.
- Develop trust relationships with major clients to prevent them from seeking services from competitors.
- Gain a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements.
- Expand relationships with existing customers by consistently proposing solutions that align with their objectives.
- Ensure prompt delivery of the correct products and services to customers.
- Act as the main point of contact between key customers and internal teams.
- Resolve any customer issues and complaints to maintain trust and satisfaction.
- Play an integral role in generating new sales that lead to long-lasting relationships.
- Use key account metrics to prepare regular progress reports and forecasts for internal and external stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities:
- Develop and implement sales strategies, set sales targets, and maximize customer loyalty.
- Create strategies to promote an organization's goods and services to B2B accounts.
- Build and maintain the organization's image and reputation with customers, investors, and the wider public.
- Provide day-to-day direction and management of the organization to achieve specific goals, maximize profit, and ensure efficiency.
- Assess changing situations and issue commands and directives to subordinate staff accordingly.
- Consult with departmental heads on operational methods, finance, sales, and human resources matters.
- Represent the organization at official occasions, negotiations, conventions, seminars, and forums, and act as a liaison between areas of responsibility.
- Prepare reports, budgets, and forecasts and present them to management and the board.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in science or a related field, MBA or an advanced degree is a plus.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in sales and business development roles within the nutraceutical ingredients or dietary industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in the international market.
- Strong understanding of the nutraceutical industry, including regulatory requirements, market dynamics, and customer segments.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strategic thinker with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
