Job Description

Job Summary: The India Sales head for our IT Services Company will be responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the sales function, driving revenue growth, and ensuring the successful execution of sales strategies within the technology services sector. This role involves developing and implementing sales plans, building, and managing a high-performance sales team, and collaborating with key stakeholders to achieve business objectives.

1. Sales Strategy:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets for IT services.
  • Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to identify business opportunities and threats.

2. Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and customer focus.
  • Set clear goals and performance expectations for the sales team.

3. Business Development:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and markets to expand the company's footprint in the IT services sector.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, strategic partners, and industry influencers.

4. Sales Planning and Forecasting:

  • Develop and execute effective sales plans, including forecasting, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts to support overall business planning.

5. Client Engagement:

  • Act as a key point of contact for major client accounts, ensuring satisfaction, addressing concerns, and fostering long-term relationships.
  • Collaborate with solution architects and technical teams to tailor offerings to client needs.

6. Performance Analysis:

  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Analyse sales data and market trends to make informed decisions and adjustments to the sales approach.

7. Collaboration:

  • Work closely with other departments, including marketing, finance, and operations, to ensure alignment and successful execution of the overall business strategy.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve products and services based on client feedback and market trends.

8. Market Research:

  • Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and market conditions within the IT services sector.
  • Use market intelligence to guide strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors degree in business, IT, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

2. Proven experience in a senior sales leadership role within the IT services industry, with a track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets.

3. Strong leadership, team management, and coaching skills.

4. In-depth knowledge of IT services and technology solutions.

5. Strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a results-oriented mindset.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

7. Experience with CRM software and other sales-related tools.

8. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
