We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our dynamic team and lead the development of machine learning components for our innovative MRV and decarbonization platform. This role will be crucial in integrating advanced AI, satellite remote sensing, and comprehensive carbon footprint tracking to provide a holistic solution for agricultural enterprises, government agencies, and farmers.
Key Project Focus
Development of AI-driven systems for visualizing and managing Scope 3 Category 1 emissions for large agricultural enterprises
Creation of machine learning models like crop classification, yield estimation, soil health analysis using satellite data
Implementation of advanced analytics and machine learning models for carbon/ GHG emission prediction and reduction recommendations
Integration of data from various sources including satellite imagery, IoT devices, local soil analysis facilities, Climate data sources.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the research, development, and implementation of machine learning systems for the MRV (Measure, Report, and Verify) platform.
Develop and implement machine learning models for crop classification, yield estimation, soil health analysis, and carbon/GHG emission prediction using satellite data.
Process and analyze large-scale satellite imagery and IoT data to provide actionable insights.
Create advanced analytics and predictive models for carbon footprint tracking and reduction recommendations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of machine learning development with user needs and regulatory requirements.
Mentor junior team members and contribute to the growth of the machine learning team.
Integrate machine learning models into production environments and develop data processing pipelines.
Ideal Profile
You possess a Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or Data Scientist, including at least 2 years in a leadership or mentorship role.
You have a strong proficiency in Python and experience with cloud platforms (AWS).
You have extensive experience with deep learning and computer vision models, including CNNs, LSTMs, and transformers, as well as experience in designing and deploying models for images and time-series data.
You have hands-on experience with satellite (e.g., S1, S2, Landsat, Modis) image processing and geospatial data analysis.
You have knowledge of carbon accounting principles and environmental reporting standards.
You have excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
