Role & responsibilities
1. Electrical System Management:
Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and equipment within
the plant.
Manage and maintain power distribution systems, electrical panels, motors, transformers,
and other critical electrical components.
2. Preventive and Corrective Maintenance:
Develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule to minimize downtime.
Conduct regular inspections and troubleshooting of electrical systems to identify and
rectify issues promptly.
Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for specialized repairs or
maintenance as required.
3. Safety and Compliance:
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and government regulations.
Conduct routine safety checks, risk assessments, and preventive actions to maintain a safe
working environment.
Keep accurate records of electrical inspections, maintenance, and safety audits.
4. Energy Management and Optimization:
Monitor energy consumption and identify opportunities for energy-saving and cost-
reduction initiatives.
Implement energy-efficient practices and technologies to improve overall power usage
efficiency.
5. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain detailed records of electrical activities, maintenance schedules, and equipment
performance.
Prepare reports on electrical system status, incidents, and maintenance work completed.
6. Support in Project Management:
Assist in new electrical installations or modifications as required by plant operations.
Collaborate with the engineering team on electrical design, layout planning, and other
projects to improve plant operations.
Preferred candidate profile
BE/BTech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance, preferably in the
FMCG sector.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance
Practices.
Familiarity with electrical safety regulations and energy management practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to coordinate with internal teams and external vendors.
Preferred Skills:
Hands-on experience with PLCs, motors, VFDs, and automation systems.
Certification in electrical safety or energy management.
