General Manager Production-Ice Cream

Role & responsibilities

1. Oversee all aspects of ice cream production, including planning, scheduling, and quality control.

2. Lead and manage a team of production staff, including supervisors, line leaders, and workers and Lead Plant Operations.

3. Implement and maintain food safety and quality programs (e.g., GMP, HACCP).

4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., R&D, maintenance, supply chain).

5. Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and production plans.

6. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, OSHA).

7. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

8. Manage and maintain production equipment and facilities.

9. Develop and implement training programs for production staff.

10. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.

11. Reporting to COO.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Business, or related field.

2. 12-15 years of experience in food manufacturing, preferably in ice cream production.

3. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

4. Strong knowledge of food safety and quality regulations.

5. Experience with production planning and scheduling software.

6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
