3D Designer

Role & responsibilities

• Create detailed 3D models, technical drawings, specifications using CAD software.
• Create/review complete Bill of material.
• Identify opportunities for standardization in design processes, components, and materials to reduce complexity and cost.
• Continuously seek to improve existing products by applying standardization principles to enhance performance, reduce costs, and streamline manufacturing processes.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and standards to ensure products remain competitive and compliant.
• Maintain thorough documentation of design processes, decisions, and changes, ensuring traceability and compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
• Lead the design and development process for new products from concept to production, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.

Preferred candidate profile

• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in product design, development, engineering calculations, and design documentation in a manufacturing environment, preferably in the rotary and/or static equipment manufacturing industry.
• Candidate should have hands-on experience in Autodesk Inventor 3D software and AutoCAD, SAP knowledge is preferred for BOM creation.
• Candidate should have a knowledge of ASME standards, GD&T and basic knowledge of FEA.
