Job Description :
- Plan, configure, and deploy network systems, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Design network layouts and ensure they meet organizational needs and scalability requirements.
- Monitor network performance and availability, ensuring optimal operation and minimal downtime.
- Perform regular network maintenance, including hardware and software updates, to ensure network reliability and security.
- Diagnose and resolve network issues, including connectivity, performance, and security problems.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related issues reported by users.
- Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs.
- Monitor network traffic for potential security threats and respond to security incidents as needed.
- Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures.
- Prepare and present reports on network performance, incidents, and improvements.
- Work closely with other IT staff to ensure network solutions integrate smoothly with other IT systems and services.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for network equipment and services.
- Ensure network operations comply with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on the latest network technologies and best practices to continually improve network performance and security.
- It is essential that candidates have a strong background in providing hands-on end-user support, with proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving network related issues for users on-site.
Qualifications :
- 5-8 years of experience in network engineering and administration.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, DNS, DHCP, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with Cisco, Juniper, or other leading network devices (routers, switches, firewalls).
- Experience with network security technologies (firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, etc.)
- Experience with network monitoring and management tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred
