ServiceNow CMDB Developer - ITIL Frameworks (3-8 yrs)

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency).

Must-Have :

- Minimum 3 years in Servicenow Development.

- Minimum 2 years working as developer or lead in ITSM module development.

- Good to know Servicenow Integration, Service portal, CMDB.

- Should know Servicenow Core concepts, client and server-side concepts.

- Servicenow CAD or CSA certified.

- Good in communication.

- Must have Knowledge in Servicenow ITIL module.

- Must know Servicenow platform fundamentals like instance cloning, upgrade, transactions, plugins etc.

- Fine to work during US overlapping hours, (12PM IST to 10PM IST).

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement CMDB architecture within ServiceNow.

- Develop and maintain configuration item (CI) records, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

- Collaborate with IT teams to identify and gather asset data for effective CI management.

- Conduct regular audits of the CMDB to verify data accuracy and compliance with governance standards.

- Implement automated processes for discovery and maintenance of CIs.

- Integrate third-party tools and systems to enhance CMDB capabilities.

- Develop CMDB reports and dashboards for stakeholders to support decision-making.

- Provide technical support and training for users interacting with the CMDB.

- Participate in change management processes to maintain CMDB relevance and accuracy.

- Document all CMDB processes and software configurations for reference and compliance.

- Ensure alignment with ITIL practices, particularly in configuration management.

- Collaborate with other developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CMDB.

- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as required.

- Participate in the creation and execution of test scripts for new CMDB functionality.

- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to refine CMDB functionality.

Required Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with ServiceNow, specifically in CMDB development.

- Strong understanding of ITIL concepts and framework.

- Proven experience in designing and implementing configuration management processes.

- Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML, and other relevant programming languages.

- Experience with ServiceNow Discovery and Integration features.

- Knowledge of relational databases and data modeling principles.

- Experience in using ServiceNow Developer Studio.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

- Experience in Agile methodologies and practices.

- Certifications in ServiceNow or ITIL are a plus.

- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.

- Willingness to stay updated with industry trends and new features in ServiceNow.
