In this role, you will be at the forefront of financial planning. budgeting and forecasting, analysis and reporting of direct costs for our largest business unit focused on scientific journals.
Responsibilities
Developing expectations based on actual performance trends. Expected changes in our strategy, and other business inputs. Prepare baseline forecast, overlay with expected changes, enter the final projections into our forecasting tools. Provide insights and commentary on variance analysis.
Reporting: Run specific queries and reports, reconcile data, and provide comprehensive analysis and support for key stakeholders.
Accounting: Calculate and prepare deferral and accruals journals.
Improving Continuously: Seek and implement continuous improvements in efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of service for systems under control.
Establishing support annual audits, and ensure data integrity and consistency across all financial processes.
Requirements
Be analytical and good with MS Excel modeling capabilities to provide deep insights and resolve finance inquiries independently. Experience with manipulating large data sets, as well as ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.
Be proactive and motivated individual with a can-do mentality, ready to take on challenges in a complex and demanding environment. Curious by nature, striving for continuous improvement.
Have strong communication skills to clearly convey financial information to a range of stakeholders in our multi-national and multi-cultural environment.
Have working knowledge of MS excel - advanced user, Oracle Hyperion products and Smartview.
Have Professional Certification / Master s (regular) in Finance, Accounting or related area. 6-8 years of experience in financial reporting, planning, and analysis, including providing commentaries.
