Purchase and Logistics Engineer

A brief about our company:

RIPPL LIGHTING (Reflections Interior Products Pvt Ltd) is a 12 year old B2B, MSME, designing and manufacturing company based out of Bangalore, specializing in customized lighting products. We provide end-to-end solution to our clients including services like Lighting Concepts, Lighting Simulation, Product Design & Manufacturing, Supply, Installation and Handover.

We are looking for a Purchase & Logistics Engineer responsible for managing the end to end process including the Customer Demand Forecasting, Production Planning, Inventory Control, Logistics and Customer Services.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Issuing POs to vendors/ suppliers/ freight agents
• Following up with accounts on advance payments if applicable
• Procuring materials; adhering to customer schedules;
• Smooth and timely shipment of materials
• Ensuring timely invoicing and payment receipt
• Select, evaluate, negotiate price and terms with suppliers/ vendors/ freight agents and foster collaborative relationships with them
• Ensure procurement and warehouse transactions (e.g. receiving, issuing, transfers and requisitions) are completed timely and accurately
• Monitor supplier performance/ assess their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements/ provide performance feedback/ discuss production forecasts or changes.
• Troubleshoot receiving and shipping complaints to find the cause, help resolve the issue, and prevent re-occurrence
• Review client and employee schedules/ tasks/ performance for productivity and ensure smooth delivery of product for the Sales Team.
• Minimize double/ over purchases and keep costs down

Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications

• A degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical)
• 2+ years of work experience in purchase/ procurement/ logistics
• Based out of Bangalore (preferably around Whitefield)
• Proficiency in English and Kannada is necessary
• Should also have good business ethics and an understanding of legal contracts
• Should have working knowledge of Tally
• Proficient in computer skills, specifically Excel, Power Point, Outlook
• Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision
• Able to handle multiple projects of varying priorities simultaneously.
• A sense of urgency that drives ability to effectively deliver results.
• Detail oriented with strong emphasis on quality.
• Ability to interface with vendors, production team and different functional groups within the business units.
• Strong social skills, teamwork skills, managerial skills, time management, verbal and written communication skills, logical reasoning, numerical skills, technical skills and sound IT skills
• Must be able to establish and maintain good working relationship with team and all levels of management and employees
