Mandatory skills: 1-3 years of experience

1. Excellent knowledge in Core Java, Kotlin, Android SDK and Android IDE i.e Android Studio.

2. Great OO skills, including strong gradle knowledge of build development.

3. Experience with Jetpack Compose.

4. Advanced knowledge of Activities, Fragments, Intents, Broadcast Receivers and the Android App lifecycle.

5. Understanding of various architectural patterns (MVVM, MVC).

6. Familiarity with integrating third-party libraries and building first-party frameworks including Android JetPack, Architecture components.

7. Experience with RESTful APIs to connect Android applications to backend services.

8. Experience with offline storage, threading, and performance tuning.

9. Familiarity with cloud message APIs.

10. Knack for benchmarking and optimisation.

11. Experience writing unit/UI tests with JUnit, Robolectric, Espresso

12. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools for Git / SVN.

13. Knowledge of software best practices, like Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Continuous Integration (CI).

14. Strong communication and client-facing skills with the ability to work in a consulting environment is essential
