Lab Engineer/ Sr. Engineer

Role & responsibilities

1. Overall technical operations of the lab and responsible for the sampling and testing of raw material and product.

2. Lab Incharge is overall responsibility of smooth functioning of Laboratory in the company. He shall also preparing procedures, providing essential resources the objective required. Responsible for effective implementation and maintenance of IMS and NABL within Lab. Assessment of risk associated with the product quality & product delivery, subsequently make a contingency planning (if required).

3. He is responsible for external as well internal calibration of Lab Equipment, which are being using for inspection/testing and subsequently verify the calibration reports and use uncertainties in measurements where applicable.

4. Identification of Training needs of personnel reporting to head of department.

5. Planning the calibration of measuring and monitoring equipments/instruments used for inspection/testing in various section.

6. To ensure preparation of manufacturing record book (MRB) as per customer requirement as well as MRB for internal record.

7. Data analysis/investigation for improvement and feedback to head of department.

8. Responsible for review of raw material MTC and testing (Steel plates).

9. Implementation of safety standards and procedures are being followed at shop floor.

10. To review the test reports and inspection certificates.

11. To maintain the environmental conditions of laboratory.

12. To maintain records update as per the requirements.

13. To communicate the results of the non- conforming tests to Head of department of QA/QC.

14. Ensure the availability of spares and consumables required for functioning of laboratory.

15. Ensuring the annual maintenance of laboratory equipments is carried out through maintenance department.
