Job Description
SBU Head HPDC, Investment Casting, and Sand Casting
Location : Gurgoan
Reporting To : Managing Director/Chairman/ board
Experience : 25+ years of relevant experience in HPDC, Investment Casting, and Sand Casting

Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership :
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive the overall growth of the SBU (Strategic Business Unit) in line with corporate objectives.
- Identify and explore new business opportunities, potential customers, and emerging markets in the HPDC, investment casting, and sand casting segments.
- Operational Excellence :
- Oversee the entire production processes of HPDC (High-Pressure Die Casting), investment casting, and sand casting, ensuring adherence to industry standards and company SOPs.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce cycle times, and improve quality.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to ensure cost control, waste reduction, and efficiency optimization.
- Financial Performance :
- Develop and monitor the annual operating budget for the SBU, including revenue, profit margins, and cost control measures.
- Responsible for achieving targeted profitability and growth, ensuring operational costs remain within the budget.
- Monitor KPIs such as revenue growth, production efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- People Management :
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managers and engineers across the different casting processes.
- Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Manage talent development, succession planning, and training programs to build the technical capabilities of the team.
- Customer Relationship Management :
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality products that meet or exceed customer specifications and requirements.
- Act as the primary point of contact for key clients in resolving technical and commercial issues.
- Technical Expertise :
- Provide technical guidance and support for complex casting processes including High-Pressure Die Casting, investment casting, and sand casting.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on product design improvements and production optimization.
- Stay updated on the latest technological advancements in casting and manufacturing processes.
- Quality and Compliance :
- Ensure compliance with all quality standards, health and safety regulations, and environmental policies.
- Oversee quality assurance programs and continuous improvement projects to reduce defects and rework.
- Ensure that the casting operations comply with ISO and other relevant certifications.
- Supply Chain and Vendor Management :
- Optimize the supply chain and vendor relationships to ensure timely procurement of raw materials and components.
- Collaborate with the procurement team to establish cost-effective sourcing strategies.
Key Requirements:
- Educational Background : Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy,
- Experience : 25+ years of experience in leading casting operations with a focus on HPDC, investment casting, and sand casting processes.
- Technical Skills : Strong understanding of casting processes, metallurgy, manufacturing best practices, and quality standards.
- Leadership Skills : Proven leadership experience in managing large teams, driving operational excellence, and achieving business goals.
- Commercial Acumen : Strong financial management skills with the ability to develop and execute business strategies.
- Communication : Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Problem-solving : Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities to resolve technical and operational issues.
KPIs (Key Performance Indicators):
- Achievement of revenue and profitability targets.
- Improvement in production efficiency and reduction in cycle times.
- Reduction in quality defects and rework.
- Timely delivery of products meeting customer specifications.
- Cost savings through process optimization and waste reduction.
