Automation Director

• Manage the design, development, and maintenance of automation tools, scripts, and frameworks to streamline engineering design processes.
• Develop and integrate CAD/CAE automation scripts and applications. Manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of custom add-ons for Autodesk, Civil 3D, and ESRI ArcGIS.
• Collaborate with design engineering teams to identify and analyze automation needs and requirements.
• Ensure automation solutions are efficient, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices.
• Apply AI/ML techniques to enhance design automation where applicable.
• Working closely with the US (onshore) team to define and deliver their needs.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Establish and enforce quality standards and best practices for design automation.
• Conduct regular reviews and testing of automation tools to ensure they meet performance and reliability standards.
• Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• Bachelor s degree in computer science, Technology, or Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of IT Development experience and 5 years of Management Experience.
• Excellent conflict resolution skills and demonstrated experience in directing and motivating multi-level talent.
• Experience conducting end to end project management; able to provide technical and analytical guidance to a project team.
• Experience with AI/ML/Gen AI techniques for design automation.
• Familiarity cloud-based design and collaboration tools.
• Proficiency in ETL Tools especially SSIS, and PowerBI, Java, SQL, Python, Ruby
• Agile Development, Micro Services experience a plus
• Deadline driven, self-motivated, and technically savvy.
• Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
• Extremely organized with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to be flexible, take direction with ease, including changes to schedule and workflow priorities.
• Critical thinking skills; make assessments and provide solutions to problems.
• Ability to maintain professional tact in a fast-paced work environment with internal personnel and clients.
• Delegation skills are crucial in identifying the best person (or people) for a particular task and act as a facilitator to motivate and direct the work
• Negotiation and mediation skills are necessary for finding opportunities to resolve conflicts efficiently and favorably
• Decision-making skills are key to weighing the costs and benefits of various options and determining the best course of action to achieve company goals
• Problem-solving skills are crucial to analyzing past and current performance and recommending objectives to improve productivity and profitability.
