Key Responsibilities :

Technical Responsibilities :

SQL Development & Data Extraction :

- Write, test, and maintain complex SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL), ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

Power BI Dashboard Development :

- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards to transform raw data into meaningful visualizations that support business decision-making.

Excel-based Data Analysis & Reporting :

- Use MS Excel to analyze large datasets, create complex reports, and support ad-hoc data requests from the business.

Data Integration Mapping :

- Design, develop, and maintain Data Integration (DI) Mapping Sheets to define how data flows between different systems and ensure alignment with project requirements.

Non-Technical Responsibilities :

Collaborating with Business Teams :

- Engage with business users to understand their data requirements and translate them into clear and actionable technical specifications.

Requirement Gathering :

- Lead comprehensive sessions with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and clarify business requirements, ensuring that technical solutions are aligned with business objectives.

Process Improvement :

- Identify inefficiencies in current data processes and workflows, and recommend improvements to optimize and streamline operations.

Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution :

- Use problem-solving skills to identify data-related issues and work promptly to resolve them to minimize disruptions to business operations.

Key Skills & Qualifications :

Technical Expertise :

- Proficient in SQL (advanced knowledge) for querying and manipulating data.

- Strong experience with Power BI for dashboard creation, report generation, and data visualization.

- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, data modeling, etc.).

- Experience with data integration tools and techniques, including the creation of data mapping documentation.

Data Modeling & Analysis :

- Deep understanding of data modeling concepts, including dimensional models, star schemas, and data normalization techniques.

- Ability to analyze large datasets to derive actionable insights and support decision-making.

Business & Analytical Acumen :

- Ability to understand business processes and translate business needs into technical solutions.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with business and technical teams.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management :

- Proven ability to work in cross-functional teams, collaborating with business users, IT teams, and other stakeholders.

- Strong interpersonal skills to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and stakeholder expectations.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

- Experience with other data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, QlikView).

- Knowledge of ETL frameworks and data warehousing concepts.

- Familiarity with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
