Position Overview:
As the Head of Human Resources, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources management within the organization, ensuring a high-performing, engaged workforce that aligns with our organizational goals. You will lead a team that drives recruitment, talent management, employee engagement, compensation and benefits, HR policies, and organizational development. This leadership role is crucial to creating and maintaining a positive, innovative, and inclusive work culture that supports the fast-paced nature of the e-commerce industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership:
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the company's business objectives, ensuring HR initiatives support the e-commerce company's growth and operational needs.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the executive team on HR matters, including employee relations, organizational structure, and strategic workforce planning.
- Drive HR transformation by utilizing data-driven insights to enhance HR functions and improve employee experience.
Talent Acquisition & Retention:
- Lead and oversee all recruitment efforts, including the development of talent acquisition strategies that attract top-tier talent across various functions.
- Build and execute effective retention programs to reduce turnover and foster employee loyalty.
- Design and implement employer branding initiatives to establish [Company Name] as an employer of choice within the e-commerce industry.
Employee Engagement & Organizational Culture:
- Foster a positive work culture that prioritizes collaboration, innovation, and employee well-being.
- Lead employee engagement surveys, analyze results, and implement programs to enhance employee satisfaction and morale.
- Develop and implement diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives that align with the company's values and promote a welcoming workplace for all employees.
Learning & Development:
- Identify key skills gaps and oversee the development and delivery of employee training and professional development programs to ensure a skilled and agile workforce.
- Support leadership development programs to cultivate internal talent and create a pipeline for future leaders.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Lead compensation strategy and ensure the company offers competitive salary packages and benefits programs.
- Regularly review and refine compensation structures to attract and retain top talent, while maintaining cost-effectiveness.
Compliance & Policy Development:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Develop, review, and enforce HR policies that promote fairness, respect, and accountability throughout the organization.
HR Technology & Analytics:
- Leverage HR technology to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and collect valuable data to make informed HR decisions.
- Provide strategic reporting and analysis on key HR metrics, including turnover, engagement, and performance, to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field from a Tier 1 college in India (e.g., IITs, IIMs, XLRI, or similar institutions).
Experience:
- 12+ years of experience in human resources management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role, preferably within the e-commerce or technology sector.
- Proven track record in developing and executing HR strategies that align with organizational growth.
- Experience leading HR teams, managing talent acquisition, employee engagement, performance management, and organizational development.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
- Deep understanding of HR metrics, employee lifecycle, and best practices in talent management.
- Experience in driving diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a focus on innovation and adaptability.
Technical Proficiency:
- Familiarity with HR software (HRIS), performance management systems, and other HR tools.
- Ability to leverage data analytics for decision-making and performance improvements.
