Job Description
- Plan and conduct chemical reactions and synthesize compounds based on project goals and objectives
- Stay updated with current research and literature in the field to inform and guide experiments and methodologies
- Operate and maintain a variety of laboratory equipment, including glassware, chemical reactors, spectroscopy instruments, and chromatography systems
- Analyse experimental data, interpret results, and draw conclusions to guide further research and development
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure the safe handling of chemicals and equipment in the laboratory
- Maintain detailed records of experiments, procedures, and results
- Document experimental procedures in laboratory notebooks
- Identify and address issues or challenges that arise during experiments, modifying procedures as needed to achieve project objectives
