Purchase Executive - Packaging Material

Job Summary :

The Purchase Executive will be responsible for supporting the procurement process, vendor coordination, and preparing data-driven reports using advanced Excel formulas. The role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel for managing purchase data, generating reports, and ensuring efficient procurement operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, maintain, and analyze purchase data using Excel formulas (VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting, Macros, etc.)
• Draft purchase reports, vendor performance analysis, and procurement dashboards.
• Assist in processing purchase orders (POs) and ensuring timely approvals.
• Coordinate with vendors for quotations, price negotiations, and order follow-ups.
• Maintain and update procurement records and supplier databases.
• Ensure adherence to company procurement policies and procedures.
• Assist in cost analysis and supplier evaluation using Excel-based comparisons.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand purchase requirements.
• Support in preparing monthly and quarterly purchase reports.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Advanced Excel proficiency (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, INDEX-MATCH, IF formulas, Data Validation, Macros, Power Query, etc.)
• Strong analytical and reporting skills.
• Good understanding of procurement processes.
• Ability to work with large datasets and extract meaningful insights.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• Knowledge of ERP/SAP systems will be an added advantage.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Education: Bachelors degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• Experience: 2-5 years in procurement/purchase function with strong exposure to Excel-based reporting.
• Industry Preference: Manufacturing, Agrochemicals, FMCG, or similar sectors.
