Our team, rOar, resides in various countries. Our clients are the agencies within the Publicis Groupe.
Our product, rOar, is Publicis Groupe's Project Management, Resource Management and Time Tracking tool. It is used by agencies that are on 'Altair', (Publicis Groupe's SAP implementation) and as such is integrated within the Groupe's Altair ecosystem. rOar v2.0 is being built upon Adobe's Workfront, a leading enterprise PPM solution. The rOar team is responsible for configuring Workfront, building custom Saas solutions around it and integrating our solution with other systems.
About the Role :
We are seeking an experienced Front-End Architect to lead the design, development, and optimization to join our expanding Technology Team, responsible for delivering the Publicis Groupe's Project Management, Resource Management and Time Tracking tool. You will play a critical role in defining the architecture for scalable, high-performance, and responsive web applications. Working closely with crossfunctional teams, you'll ensure that our applications deliver exceptional user experiences while aligning with business goals and technical requirements. In this role, you will be working with multiple teams, stakeholders, business teams, as well as senior IT leadership for governance and for providing project updates.
Key Responsibilities :
Architecture & Development :
- Define and implement the front-end architecture, focusing on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Evaluate, select, and integrate front-end frameworks, libraries, and tools.
- Create reusable components, design systems, and UI patterns to streamline development and maintain consistency.
- Lead the development of high-quality code while adhering to best practices and coding standards.
- Ensure front-end applications are optimized for speed and responsiveness across browsers and devices.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and security issues.
- Implement and monitor tools for code quality, performance, and testing.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
- Lead the adoption of new tools, frameworks, or methodologies to enhance development workflows.
- Drive innovation by exploring cutting-edge front-end technologies, such as AI-driven interfaces, PWAs, and WebAssembly.
Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as principal frontend or frontend tech lead
- 14+ years of experience in front-end development, with at least 5 years in an architecture role.
- 14+ years' experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
- 4+ years' experience with TypeScript and React 16+
- 1+ years' experience with Next JS
- Strong understanding of state management:
- Redux (RTK)
- GraphQL
- Context API
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs and WebSockets.
- Experience with Webpack, Babel, or other build tools.
- Expertise in cross-browser compatibility, accessibility (WCAG), and responsive design.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
- Collaborative mindset with a passion for mentoring teams.
- Education: Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Familiarity with micro-frontend architecture and server-side rendering with React.
- Strong experience deployment
