Roles Responsibilities

The Supervisor, Stage-1 Finishing, plays a key role within the aero casting manufacturing companys Production function. This position is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the stage-1 finishing operations of aerospace components, ensuring efficient production processes, adherence to quality standards, and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Directly supervise and lead the stage-1 finishing team, providing guidance, training, and support.

1. Plan and organize daily production schedules to meet customer demands and delivery timelines.

1. Ensure that all stage-1 finishing operations meet quality specifications and regulatory requirements.

1. Monitor and optimize the efficiency of stage-1 finishing processes, including trimming, deburring, and initial inspection.

1. Train new team members on stage-1 finishing techniques and safety procedures. Conduct ongoing training to enhance skills and performance.

1. Enforce safety protocols and practices to maintain a safe work environment. Conduct regular safety inspections and promote a safety-conscious culture.

1. Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure that machines and equipment used in stage-1 finishing are properly maintained and serviced.

1. Monitor inventory levels of finishing materials, tools, and supplies.

1. Identify and resolve operational issues and production bottlenecks in a timely manner to minimize downtime.

1. Maintain accurate records of production activities, including work orders, inspection reports, and shift reports.

1. Implement lean manufacturing principles and participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and efficiency in stage-1 finishing.

1. Collaborate effectively with other departments such as Quality Assurance, Engineering, and Production Planning to ensure smooth workflow and resolve cross-functional issues.

1. Ensure product safety and preventing the FOD (foreign object debris) and Counterfeit parts in their concerned area.

1. Implement 5S principles in the Ti Cast facility, planning resources and materials accordingly.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education and Certifications:

• Diploma in Production, Manufacturing, Automobile Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• 2 years of experience in a supervisory role within the post-cast or fettling operation, preferably in manufacturing industry.

• Experience in the aerospace industry or precision castings industry will be highly preferred.

Technical / Functional Expertise other competencies:

• Strong knowledge of post cast/fettling operations, metallurgy, and quality control principles.

• Demonstrated leadership abilities with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team, fostering a culture of safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

• Proficiency in implementing and maintaining safety protocols, environmental compliance, and regulatory standards related to lead recycling.

• Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make data-driven decisions to improve operational efficiency.
