As the Engagement Operations Support Coordinator, you will be responsible for executing various assignments within the Finance process, focusing primarily on assisting engagement teams with the Project Life Cycle. In Engagement Operations the Project Life Cycle includes client project systems setup, initial budgeting and budget updates, invoicing, portfolio monitoring, and project closure. We focus on proper and complete revenue recognition and helping engagement teams to be efficient in navigating our internal accounting and project management systems and procedures. You will develop an understanding of key business processes and protocols while having the ability to communicate with all levels of local practice and operations employees. The key responsibilities include but not limited to the following
Client / Project Accounting: • Assist engagement management teams with navigating internal systems to: - Navigate multiple steps and systems to create new clients and projects. - Use our internal budgeting tool. - Activate projects for revenue recognition. - Monitor project economics to determine when budget updates are needed. - Deliver timely invoices to clients. - Close completed projects. • Prepare and analyze summaries of engagement economics. • Schedule and manage regular touchpoints with engagement managers to ensure project finance tasks are completed. • Field engagement manager inquiries in a timely and organized manner • Assist management team with accounting related to use of contractors. • Monitor time and expense in suspense and assist in clearing these items. • Assist in delivering training of client acceptance and administration.
Reporting / Data Tracking Responsibilities • Gather and summarize data for reporting. • Generate and distribute ad hoc reports as requested. • Assist in preparation of presentations for leadership meetings. Communications Responsibilities • Attend National Finance Conference Call. • Establish and maintain relationships with other Finance team members across Protiviti to ensure best practices and consistency. • Establish a regular rapport with engagement managers. • Participate in national task forces as necessary. • Attend all office meetings and trainings as required.
Required Qualification & Skills •
Masters degree in relevant discipline (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Management). • Very strong Microsoft Excel Skills. • Ability to coordinate and maintain follow-up on several projects simultaneously. • Strong client/service orientation. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Demonstrated track record of successfully working with and learning new technologies and systems. • Professional, confident, enthusiastic and detail oriented. • Excellent administrative, interpersonal, and organizational skills. • Ability to prioritize changing workloads. • Demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter. • Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment and be resourceful.
