Job Description

Role: SAP ABAP Consultant

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP Consultant with a strong focus on SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) report development. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in ABAP development and integrating SAP data into SAC reports. As a client-facing consultant, you will work directly with clients to understand their SAP S/4 HANA systems and reporting requirements, ensuring the seamless design and delivery of ABAP solutions and SAC reports that meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement & Requirement Gathering:

Collaborate with clients to understand their business processes, reporting needs, and SAP S/4 HANA configuration.
Conduct requirement gathering sessions with business users to translate reporting metrics into technical solutions using ABAP and SAC.

Customization & ABAP Development:

Design, develop, and maintain ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, forms (SAPscript, SmartForms), and custom enhancements (user exits, BAdIs).
Optimize ABAP performance for large data sets and complex business logic.
Develop custom ABAP solutions to integrate SAP data into SAC, ensuring seamless data flow and logic implementation.

SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) Report Development:

Design and develop SAC reports, dashboards, and stories to deliver actionable insights.
Develop and optimize SAC models for smooth data integration from SAP S/4 HANA and other systems.
Configure SAC data connections, ensuring accurate and real-time data in reports.
Provide technical guidance to clients on SAC report development and visualization techniques.

System Integration & Data Handling:

Integrate ABAP developments with SAC for seamless data flow between SAP S/4 HANA and SAC.
Collaborate with SAP BW, SAP HANA, and other systems for ETL processes to ensure accurate reporting.
Optimize data processing for SAC reports to minimize delays and ensure high performance.

Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:

Troubleshoot ABAP programs and SAC reports, resolving issues promptly to minimize client disruption.
Provide ongoing support for production issues related to ABAP developments and SAC reports.

Testing & Documentation:

Develop and execute test plans to ensure the accuracy and reliability of ABAP programs and SAC reports.
Prepare clear, comprehensive documentation for ABAP developments, SAC reports, and integration processes to support future maintenance.

Mentoring & Knowledge Sharing:

Mentor junior developers to enhance their ABAP and SAC reporting skills.
Share expertise on SAP S/4 HANA systems, ABAP best practices, and SAC reporting tools with the team.
Participate in internal knowledge-sharing sessions to improve development processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

7-10 years of hands-on experience in ABAP development , including experience integrating SAP data into SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) reports.
Expertise in SAP S/4 HANA systems and customization, including ABAP programs , SAPscript , SmartForms , user exits , and BAdIs .
Experience in developing and optimizing SAC reports , dashboards , and stories .
Familiarity with SAP BW , SAP HANA , and ETL processes for accurate data extraction, transformation, and loading.
Strong troubleshooting skills for ABAP and SAC-related issues.
Experience with SAC report design , including data connections , model optimization , and performance tuning .
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a client-focused approach.
