Database Developer - Aurora CosmoDB/MongoDB (3-5 yrs)

Responsibilities :

Lead the migration of Elevance's Pilot Apps data from AWS DocumentDB to one or more of the following Azure NoSQL databases :

- Azure Cosmos DB, Atlas MongoDB. Develop and execute a comprehensive migration plan that considers performance, scalability, cost-effectiveness, and minimal downtime.

- Utilize Azure Database Migration Service and other relevant tools to automate the migration process.

- Perform data transformation and cleansing tasks as needed to ensure data consistency and accuracy in the target environment.

- Conduct thorough testing and validation of migrated data to confirm data integrity and functionality.

- Document the entire migration process for future reference and knowledge transfer.

- Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and successful migration.

- Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and best practices in NoSQL database migration.

Qualifications :

- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in NoSQL database administration and migration, preferably with AWS DocumentDB and Azure NoSQL databases (Cosmos DB, Atlas MongoDB).

- Proven track record of successfully migrating large-scale NoSQL databases from AWS to Azure.

- Strong understanding of NoSQL data models, query languages, and performance optimization techniques.

- Experience with Azure Database Migration Service and other relevant migration tools a plus.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to data quality.
