Job Description
Were seeking an experienced IT Backoffice Specialist with 5+ years of experience to join our dynamic team. In this role, youll be responsible for managing and optimizing our IT infrastructure, providing high-level technical support, and driving innovation in our systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize VMware virtualization infrastructure
- Implement and oversee vulnerability assessment and patch management strategies
- Design and execute server automation processes using infrastructure as code (IaC) principles
- Collaborate with network engineers to integrate server infrastructure with networking components
- Lead and mentor junior team members in IT best practices
- Manage cloud infrastructure and assets, including Virtual Desktop Infrastructure
- Provide escalation support for critical incidents and participate in on-call rotations
- Oversee IT equipment lifecycle, including purchasing, deployment, and decommissioning
- Develop and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans
- Monitor and ensure optimal performance of IT systems and infrastructure
- Troubleshoot complex issues across various IT domains (servers, networks, applications)
- Stay current with emerging technologies and security threats, recommending improvements as needed
- Contribute to the development of IT policies, procedures, and documentation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IT initiatives with business objectives
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- 8+ years of experience as a System Administrator or similar role
- Advanced knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, and Mac OS environments
- Expertise in VMware virtualization technologies
- Strong scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash) and experience with automation tools
- Proficiency in SQL Server administration, including clustering and high availability setups
- Hands-on experience with cloud services, preferably Azure
- Solid understanding of IT security principles and best practices
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
