Prep.Study - SAP SD Consultant - MM/FI Modules (7-10 yrs)

Position Overview :

We are seeking an experienced SAP SD Functional Resource with 7-10 years of expertise in Sales and Distribution (SAP SD). The candidate will play a critical role in leveraging SAP SD functionalities to streamline and enhance sales and distribution processes. Prior experience in SAP consulting is an added advantage. The individual will work closely with business and technical teams to advise on best practices, define new requirements, assess the impact of changes, and validate development efforts.

Key Responsibilities :

1. Functional Expertise in SAP SD :

- Analyze and understand the end-to-end functionalities of SAP SD.

- Provide guidance to teams on using SAP SD features effectively to meet business objectives.

- Collaborate with business users to identify areas for process improvement using SAP SD.

2. Requirement Gathering and Change Management :

- Gather and document business requirements for sales and distribution processes.

- Define and design new functionalities or changes based on business needs.

- Assess the impact of changes on existing systems and processes, ensuring minimal disruption.

3. Validation and Testing :

- Validate technical development efforts to ensure alignment with functional specifications.

- Perform functional testing of enhancements and modifications in SAP SD.

- Support the implementation and go-live phases by addressing issues and providing solutions.

4. Advisory and Support :

- Act as a liaison between the business and technical teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.

- Provide training and support to end-users on SAP SD functionalities and enhancements.

- Ensure adherence to best practices and SAP standards in solution delivery.

5. Collaboration and Documentation :

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including SAP consultants, IT, and business stakeholders.

- Maintain detailed documentation for requirements, changes, and testing efforts.

- Participate in workshops and meetings to drive alignment between business and technical teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Experience :

- 7-10 years of experience in SAP SD with expertise in sales and distribution processes.

- Hands-on experience in SAP consulting is a strong advantage.

Technical and Functional Knowledge :

- In-depth understanding of SAP SD modules, including pricing, billing, order management, and delivery processes.

- Knowledge of integration points with other SAP modules like MM, FI, and WM.

Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills :

- Ability to analyze business processes and identify optimization opportunities.

- Strong problem-solving skills to address issues during implementation and support.

Communication and Stakeholder Management :

- Excellent communication skills to interact with business and technical teams effectively.

- Proven ability to manage stakeholder expectations and deliver results.

Other Skills :

- Experience in preparing functional specifications, impact analysis, and test plans.

- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA or cloud-based SAP solutions is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Certification in SAP SD or related SAP modules.

- Exposure to Agile methodologies and project management tools.

- Experience in global implementation projects and multi-location rollouts.
