Job Description: Lead of Corporate Communications

Corporate Communications


Reporting to CHRO


Role Summary

Provide strategic leadership and direction in shaping and executing a comprehensive corporate communication strategy. This includes enhancing the organization's reputation, strengthening stakeholder engagement, and ensuring consistent and impactful messaging across internal and external channels. Drive innovation in communication approaches, oversee crisis management, enhance brand recognition, and foster meaningful relationships with stakeholders, contributing to the overall success and growth of the company.

Job Responsibilities

Budget Management

  • Develop and manage the corporate communications budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources across different communication functions.

Internal Communications

Plan and design the internal communications calendar to ensure governance throughout the year.

  • Develop and implement internal communication strategies (in tandem with HR) that foster employee engagement, alignment with organizational objectives, and a positive workplace culture.
  • Oversee communication channels such as mailers, newsletters, intranet platforms and town hall meetings to ensure effective information dissemination.
  • Work with HR to fulfil communication needs and support for employee engagement initiatives, office events, festival celebrations.

Corporate Communications

  • Develop and execute a cohesive corporate communication strategy that conveys the Managements thought process on organization's values, goals, and achievements consistently across all external communication channels.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate representation of the organization's products, services, and culture in external communications.

Public Relations (PR)

  • Lead PR efforts to cultivate strong relationships with media, influencers, and stakeholders, positioning the organization as a trusted industry leader.
  • Develop and distribute press releases, media kits, and statements to manage the organization's external image and reputation.
  • Manage media inquiries and provide timely responses while handling crisis communication effectively.
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, customers, partners, and government bodies, to promote positive engagement and enhance the organization's standing.

Branding

  • Drive branding strategies to create and maintain a strong, cohesive Global level brand identity that resonates with the organization's values and mission.
  • Oversee the creation of branding materials, marketing collateral, and advertisements that align with the organization's brand image and positioning.

Marketing

  • Work with the marketing team to design communication strategies for marketing campaigns for products and services (external) and internal marketing.
  • For International organization, work with marketing stakeholders to strategize and execute customized marketing campaigns as per geography and product/ service. Fulfil requirements as per international communications calendar.
  • Develop and disseminate marketing communication content and materials for product launches, promotions, campaigns, exhibitions, media etc.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

  • Lead CSR initiatives, ensuring they align with the organization's values and contribute positively to communities and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and execute meaningful CSR projects that align with the organization's mission.
  • Ensure internal and external communication of the Organizations CSR efforts to relevant stakeholders, promoting a positive and socially responsible brand image.

Job Requirements

Educational Qualification and Experience


▪ Masters degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.

▪ Experience in corporate communications, PR, branding, and CSR, with progressive leadership responsibilities

▪ Experience in working with organisations that serve global clients

Technical Skills


▪ Ability to develop and execute comprehensive digital communication strategies

▪ Skill in leveraging data analytics to measure communication effectiveness, identify trends, and make informed strategic decisions.

▪ Proficiency in devising and implementing social media strategies

▪ Capability to create and execute content strategies that align messaging with the organization's values

▪ Expertise in managing communication during crises
