Job Title: General Manager - Operations

Position Overview:
The General Manager - Operations at PMAC is responsible for overseeing the entire operational function of the organization to achieve exceptional delivery, quality, cost efficiency, and product development. The role requires a strategic leader who can meet annual sales targets, optimize resource utilization, and ensure the well-being of employees while maintaining adherence to the company's values and principles.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Excellence:
- Delivery & Quality: Ensure timely delivery of products as per customer schedules, meeting or exceeding specified quality standards.
- Cost Management: Achieve operational cost targets while maintaining a healthy operating margin. Optimize the use of machinery, manpower, material, and finances.
- Productivity Goals: Meet the company's turnover per head target of 2 lakhs, ensuring effective utilization of resources to drive operational performance.
2. Resource Utilization & Improvement:
- Resource Management: Effectively utilize resources (machinery, men, material, money) to meet annual sales targets and organizational vision.
- Productivity Enhancement: Implement strategies to improve productivity, reduce waste, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
- Technological Advancements: Introduce better technology, automation, and process improvements to drive operational excellence.
3. Employee Well-being & Compliance:
- Health & Safety: Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all employees, focusing on both physical and mental aspects.
- Values & Principles: Uphold and protect the values and principles of PMAC, ensuring they are adhered to by all employees.
- Training & Development: Recruit, train, and develop employees to ensure the right competencies are available within the organization.
4. Operational Management:
- Work Environment: Maintain an orderly and organized work environment through the implementation of 5S principles (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain).
- Departmental Review: Regularly review department heads' performance and support them in achieving their targets.
- Subcontractor Management: Develop and manage subcontractors effectively to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
5. Knowledge & Skill Development:
- Skill Enhancement: Impart the right knowledge and skills to the workforce, facilitating continuous learning and development.
- Asset Maintenance: Ensure the maintenance of productive assets, including machines and utilities, to prevent downtime and ensure operational efficiency.
6. Digital Transformation:
- ERP Implementation: Ensure 100% transaction processing through ERP systems to promote a paperless environment and streamline operations.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. An MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in operations management, with a strong track record in improving productivity, quality, and cost management.
- Leadership: Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with strong skills in recruitment, training, and development.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems and a strong understanding of operational processes, technology, and automation.
- Communication: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions and drive operational improvements.
- Compliance: In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, and the ability to ensure compliance across operations.

- Timeliness and quality of product delivery.
- Achievement of operational cost targets and healthy operating margins.
