Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Backend Architect to lead the design and development of our company's backend infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for architecting and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient backend systems that meet the needs of our growing business. This is a senior technical leadership role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive technical strategy.

Responsibilities:

Design and implement scalable, secure, and efficient backend systems that meet business requirements

Lead the development of backend architecture, including API design, data modeling, and system integration

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize technical requirements

Develop and maintain technical roadmaps and architecture plans

Ensure backend systems are highly available, scalable, and meet performance requirements

Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers, providing technical guidance and oversight

Collaborate with DevOps teams to ensure seamless deployment and monitoring of backend systems

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve backend architecture and systems

Requirements:

8+ years of experience in backend development, with at least 3 years in a technical leadership role

Strong expertise in one or more programming languages, such as Java, Python, or C#

Experience with cloud-based technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

Strong understanding of database design, data modeling, and data warehousing

Experience with API design, RESTful APIs, and API gateways

Strong knowledge of security best practices and compliance regulations

Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience leading technical teams

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field

Nice to Have:

Experience with containerization using Docker and Kubernetes

Knowledge of serverless computing and event-driven architecture

Familiarity with agile development methodologies and version control systems such as Git

Experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as Prometheus and ELK
