KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Sales Management:
- Collaborate with the Branch Manager to develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and profit goals.
- Assist in managing customer relationships and addressing their needs promptly.
2. Staff Supervision:
- Support the hiring, training, and development of branch staff.
- Provide guidance and motivation to the sales and support teams, ensuring a positive working environment.
3. Inventory Control:
- Assist in maintaining optimal inventory levels by monitoring stock turnover rates and coordinating with the procurement team.
- Implement inventory management best practices to minimise stockouts and overstock situations.
4. Customer Service:
- Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining strong relationships with key clients.
- Monitor and enhance customer service processes to meet or exceed customer expectations.
5. Operational Efficiency:
- Contribute to the efficient operation of the branch by optimizing workflow processes and recommending improvements.
- Oversee daily operations, including order processing, shipping, and receiving.
6. Financial Management:
- Assist in budget planning and management to achieve financial targets.
- Monitor expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
7. Market Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Provide insights to the Branch Manager to support strategic decision-making.
8. Compliance and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and safety standards.
- Implement and enforce workplace safety protocols.
9. Reporting:
- Generate regular reports on sales performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics.
- Present findings and recommendations to the Branch Manager and senior management as needed.
10. Training and Development:
- Facilitate training sessions for staff on product knowledge, customer service, and sales techniques.
- Encourage continuous learning and skill development within the team.
