Head - Supply Chain - D2C Segment - FMCG

Roles and responsibilities :

- Lead the entire supply chain team, managing projections, vendor-to-DC delivery, vendor audits for hygiene and quality, vendor credit terms, and last-mile logistics in cities with stocking centers.

- Develop and execute a supply chain strategy to balance cost, speed, and quality.

- Oversee sourcing, procurement, and inventory management, ensuring supply chain agility and cost optimization.

- Implement AI-driven demand forecasting & inventory planning to minimize stockouts and reduce wastage.

- Manage multiple warehouses with robust inventory control mechanisms (FIFO, LIFO, JIT).

- Ensure smooth and cost-effective transportation from suppliers to warehouses and stocking centers to customer hubs.

- Implement technology-driven solutions like GPS tracking, route optimization, and TMS for real-time tracking.

- Drive cost-saving initiatives and benchmark operational KPIs (cost per order, on-time delivery, and inventory turnover).

- Ensure compliance with food safety, storage, and transportation regulations.

- Mitigate supply chain disruptions through proactive risk management strategies.

- Lead and mentor teams across procurement, warehouse operations, logistics, and last-mile delivery.

- Collaborate with sales, finance, and operations to align supply chain strategies with business needs.

Experience & Education:

- Tier 1 MBA with Operations focus and supply chain work experience.

- Engineering degree preferred.

- Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, APICS, or Supply Chain Analytics will be an added advantage.

- 7+ years of supply chain experience in fresh food, FMCG, e-commerce, or B2B distribution.

- Strong expertise in procurement, logistics, warehousing, and technology-driven operations.

- Proven track record in reducing costs, improving efficiency, and scaling logistics networks.

- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

- Experience in Lean, Six Sigma, ERP, WMS, and AI-driven analytics preferred.
