QA Tester - Automation/Functional

We are looking for a QA Tester - Automation/Functional to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, configuring, and executing test automation suites while ensuring high-quality software delivery. This role requires hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing, strong coding skills, and the ability to work within a DevOps environment.

• Develop and configure software that delivers test automation suites to meet business coverage objectives.
• Perform initial diagnosis and debugging when automated test suites fail.
• Gain a deep understanding of the business domain and application architecture.
• Perform manual testing to cover any gaps in automated test coverage.
• Work closely with DevOps teams, embedding within projects and ensuring seamless QA integration.
• Take ownership of project and QA deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Contribute to Firm-wide QA initiatives, continuously improving the QA function and best practices.

• 5+ years of relevant experience in QA, development, and automation.
• Ability to design and implement end-to-end testing frameworks.
• Proficiency in coding and maintaining back-end automation frameworks using Java, Python, or similar distributed programming languages.
• Experience in front-end automation frameworks using technologies like JavaScript, Angular, Selenium.
• Strong knowledge of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, JBehave, Concordian).
• Proficiency in traditional RDBMS schema concepts and SQL for data validation.
• Hands-on experience in test strategizing, planning, estimation, execution, and reporting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a professional approach.

• Knowledge of Web Services, XML, REST, SOAP, and JSON.
• Experience with source code management tools like GIT, Perforce, or VSS.
• Familiarity with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins and Maven.
• Exposure to distributed technologies (e.g., Linux, .NET programming).
• Domain knowledge of financial services is a plus.
