QA Engineer

About Position:

We are looking for QA engineer who have good experience in Automation with Python/Java selenium.

What You'll Do:

• Primarily responsible for leading software design and implementation of features and maintenance of software component(s) within a team.
• Leading and guiding a team of skilled software developers, ensuring technical excellence in every aspect of project execution.
• Analyzing software requirements and crafting comprehensive functional specifications to guide high-level decision-making.
• Defining and documenting detailed low-level design to provide a clear roadmap for the agile team.
• Offering expert support to the development team on specialized tasks related to software design and implementation, aligning with partners' quality standards.
• Implementing and documenting assigned portions of components or work products within project timelines.
• Identifying and implementing unit and integration tests to facilitate automated integration and deployment for swift and efficient processes.
• Writing and testing code for specific software components or work products, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Investigating and resolving software defects identified during testing and review processes to uphold product quality.
• Ensuring the quality of developed components or work products, aligning with the established development process and technical requirements.
• Considering technical boundary conditions, including non-functional requirements, and economic aspects in decision-making processes.
• Conducting checks, refactoring, and reviews of architecture and related code, adhering to defined patterns, best practices, coding standards, and software requirements.
• Submitting work products into software configuration management to maintain version control.
• Actively participating in various software-related activities, such as reviews, unit tests, and process improvements.
• Performing regular internal technical coordination and reviews to identify risks and support risk mitigation initiatives led by the Product Owner and relevant stakeholders.
• Creating comprehensive technical documentation, including developer guides and architecture documents, to ensure clarity and knowledge transfer within the team.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• Testing Automation, With UI tools like Selenium etc., Test case scripting and execution with Java, JavaScript etc.: Basic Windows/Linux Knowledge network configuration
  Communication protocols (Profinet, Profibus, OPC, Modbus etc.) Cyber security topics (like Security Patch Management/Application Whitelisting, NIDS) Well verse with Agile Methodolies
• Development Technologies / Frameworks: High: QF Test, Manual Testing, Puppet, DevSecOps, Apache Ant, CI-CD pipeline, Jenkins, RPM Tools, Configuration management
  Other members: Testing
• Tools: JIRA
• Build Tools: Jenkins, Apache Ant: Java Library to build, CI/CD pipeline
• Preferred Domain: Power Management, Energy
• Familiarity with the Energy Generation domain, including knowledge of relevant software and systems.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python and Selenium.
• Design, implement, and execute automated tests to ensure software quality.
• Identify, document, and track bugs and issues.
• Work closely with developers to resolve bugs and improve software.
• Continuously improve testing frameworks and processes.
• Analyze test results and prepare detailed reports.
• Ensure regression testing coverages for all releases.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies and practices.
• Experience with test automation tools and frameworks.
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• In-depth understanding of Software life cycle and proficiency in agile methodologies, especially within the SAFe framework.
• Awareness of project management and collaboration tools like JIRA and Wiki.
• Enthusiastic about acquiring knowledge in new technologies, tools, and the Energy domain.
• Exceptional communication skills tailored to diverse audiences, effectively conveying complex issues.
• Capable of approaching and persuading others, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills.
