Performance Testing Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Performance Engineer with 3-8 years of experience in Quality Assurance to join our dynamic team. As a Performance Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing performance testing strategies using LoadRunner to ensure the optimal performance of our software applications.
You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify performance bottlenecks, analyse test results, and provide recommendations for improvements. If you are passionate about ensuring software performance and have the necessary LoadRunner expertise, we'd like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Performance Testing:
Plan and design performance test scenarios and scripts using LoadRunner.
Execute load, stress, and scalability tests to identify system limitations and performance bottlenecks.

2. Test Environment Setup:
Configure and set up test environments that mimic production conditions.
Ensure the test environment is ready for performance testing, including data setup.
3. Monitoring and Analysis:
Monitor system resource utilization during tests and collect performance metrics.
Analyse test results to identify performance issues, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement.
Dynatrace or Grafana for monitoring
4. Reporting and Documentation:
Prepare detailed performance test reports with clear and actionable recommendations.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of test plans, test scripts, and test results.
5. Collaboration:
Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, and other stakeholders to address and resolve performance issues.
Provide input on performance improvements and architectural enhancements.
6. Tools and Technologies:
Utilize LoadRunner and other performance testing tools effectively.
Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging trends in performance engineering.

Qualifications:
1. Educational Background:
Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Experience:
3-8 years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance, with a focus on performance testing using LoadRunner.

3. LoadRunner Proficiency:
Strong proficiency in using LoadRunner for designing, scripting, and executing performance tests.
Experience with LoadRunner protocols (HTTP/HTML, Web Services, Citrix, etc.).
4. Performance Testing Skills:
Knowledge of performance testing concepts, methodologies, and best practices.
Ability to identify performance bottlenecks and provide solutions.
5. Scripting and Programming:
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, C, Java) is a plus.
6. Test Environment Management:
Experience in setting up and configuring test environments.
7. Analytical Skills:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Communication:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members.
9. Team Player:
A collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a team- oriented environment.
