Job Description :
As the Vice President of Engineering, you will be a key leader in our organization, responsible for shaping and executing our technology strategy. You will bring your extensive experience in the Banking and Lending industry to lead our engineering teams toward innovation, modernization, and exceptional technical solutions. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving our company's growth and success.
Key Responsibilities :
Technology Strategy :
- Develop and execute a forward-thinking technology strategy that aligns with the company's goals and vision for modernization.
Team Leadership :
- Manage and lead engineering teams of substantial size (50 to 100+ members), fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
Industry Expertise :
- Leverage your deep knowledge of the Banking and Lending industry to guide the development of domain-specific solutions and services.
Modernization :
- Drive the adoption of the latest technologies and best practices to enhance the company's competitive edge and stay at the forefront of the industry.
Innovation :
- Encourage and support a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across all engineering teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration :
- Collaborate with other departments, such as product management and operations, to ensure alignment and successful product delivery.
Resource Allocation :
- Efficiently allocate resources, budgets, and talent to meet project objectives and timelines.
Mentorship :
- Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and career growth.
Quality Assurance :
- Oversee quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and scalable software solutions.
Risk Management :
- Identify potential risks and challenges in technology projects and develop mitigation strategies.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 20 years of overall experience in software development and engineering leadership.
- A strong background in the Banking and Lending industry with at least 10 years of experience in this domain.
- Proven experience in managing and leading large engineering teams (50 to 100+ members).
- A passion for staying updated with the latest technologies and a track record of successfully implementing modernization initiatives.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire teams.
- Proven track record of delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies and project management practices.
- Any additional domain-specific certifications or qualifications related to Banking and Lending will be a significant advantage.
