Job Description Summary:
What you need to know about the role:
As a Technical Product Manager for our CI/CD, youll be responsible for delivering our product vision and strategy for CI/CD features within the Developer Platform. Youll lead the product lifecycle, from ideation to launch, ensuring seamless collaboration with engineering teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications. By driving the design and development of intuitive user experiences and leveraging data-driven decision-making, youll contribute to the continuous improvement of our CI/CD processes and platform.

DPE makes the SDLC journey seamless, efficient, and delightful so PayPal engineers can do what they do best: deliver beautiful experiences and features for our customers.
Job Description:
Your way to impact:
  • Product Strategy: Help define and execute the product vision and strategy for CI/CD features within the Developer Platform.
  • Feature Development: deliver from ideation to launch, including requirements gathering, customer journey maps, and prioritization.
  • Technical Leadership: Collaborate closely with engineering teams to translate product requirements into technical specifications and ensure timely delivery.
  • User Experience: Drive the design and development of intuitive and user-friendly CI/CD experiences.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage data and analytics to inform product decisions and measure success and continuous improvement.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various teams, including engineering, design, and operations, to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve the CI/CD process and platform, and drive initiatives to enhance efficiency and reliability.
Your day to day :
  • Product Strategy: Defining the product roadmap and prioritizing features to improve the CI/CD pipeline efficiency and reliability.
  • Requirement Gathering: Collaborating with engineers and DevOps teams to understand their needs and pain points.
  • Pipeline Design and Optimization: Designing and optimizing CI/CD pipelines to accelerate build times, reduce deployment failures, and improve overall developer experience.
  • Feature Prioritization: Prioritizing features based on their impact on developer productivity and business outcomes.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with engineering, DevOps, and security teams to ensure smooth collaboration and alignment.
  • Data Analysis: Analyzing CI/CD metrics to identify bottlenecks, opportunities for improvement, and trends.
  • Stakeholder Management: Communicating effectively with stakeholders, managing expectations, and advocating for the value of CI/CD improvements.
What You Need to Bring:
  • Product Management Expertise: Proven 10 years experience in product management, with a strong focus on technical products.
  • DevOps Knowledge: Deep understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and relevant tools (e.g., Jenkins, Harness, GitHub).
  • Technical Acumen: Ability to understand technical concepts and collaborate effectively with engineers.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address issues.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Customer Focus: A strong customer-centric mindset to deliver solutions that meet user needs.
  • Agile Methodology: Experience working in an Agile environment and using Agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
