We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in database administration, with a strong focus on Snowflake. The Snowflake DBA will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Snowflake data warehouse, ensuring its stability, performance, and scalability. Key Responsibilities:
Account Management: Manage settings at the account and organization level, including notifications and user management.
RBAC Maintenance: Maintain role-based access control (RBAC) and access rights.
Database Administration: Configure warehouses, databases, and other objects. Manage development, UAT, and production environments.
CI/CD Infrastructure: Work with DevOps to maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) infrastructure.
Cost Management: Manage virtual warehouses, scaling, and usage transparency. Oversee the management of credits and cost optimization.
Backup and Disaster Recovery: Implement and manage data retention policies, backup tasks, and disaster recovery plans.
Security: Enforce network policies and data share policies.
Monitoring: Monitor performance, resources, and errors. Provide an overview of errors and alerts.
What we expect
Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in database administration, with a strong focus on Snowflake.
Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture and best practices.
Experience with role-based access control (RBAC) and user management.
Proficiency in Snowflake SQL and experience with data warehousing concepts.
Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
SnowPro Certification for Administrator
Experience with AWS cloud platforms
Experience with performance tuning and optimization in Snowflake.
Familiarity with data integration tools and ETL processes.
Understanding of data governance, data quality management, and data security practices.
