Job Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Business Analyst with 4 to 6 years of experience in business analysis, preferably in projects executed for government or public sector organizations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering and documenting requirements, coordinating with stakeholders, analysing business processes, and supporting the delivery of technology-driven solutions that align with project objectives and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with clients, especially government stakeholders, to understand business needs, current processes, and pain points.
• Elicit, analyze, and document business, functional, and technical requirements through meetings, workshops, and research.
• Prepare clear and concise requirement documents, process flows, wireframes, use cases, and user stories.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers, technical teams, QA, and project managers to ensure accurate understanding and implementation of requirements.
• Participate in client presentations, requirement validation sessions, and UAT support.
• Conduct gap analysis, feasibility studies, and impact assessments.
• Monitor progress and track requirement changes throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and procedural standards typical of government projects.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation for audits and knowledge management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
• 4-6 years of hands-on experience as a Business Analyst in IT or consulting firms.
• Prior experience working on government/public sector IT projects is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies - Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Proficient in tools like MS Office, Visio, Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.
• Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written); Hindi and Marathi are a plus for stakeholder interactions in Mumbai.
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to e-Governance, Smart City, Urban Development, Public Welfare, or related domains.
• Familiarity with compliance, data privacy, and procurement processes in government projects.
• Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA) is an advantage.
