Plant Head

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Production Management

Oversee daily operations of heavy machining, turning, cylindrical grinding, hard chrome plating, and phosphating activities.

Ensure optimal utilization of machines, manpower, and resources to meet production targets.

Develop production schedules and job planning to ensure timely delivery of customer orders.

Monitor and improve plant efficiency, machine uptime, and workflow optimization.

Quality Assurance & Process Improvement

Ensure all products meet customer specifications, quality standards, and industry compliance.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.) to enhance production efficiency.

Address quality concerns, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to minimize rework and defects.

Safety, Compliance & EHS Management

Implement and enforce EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) policies in compliance with industry regulations.

Oversee hazardous material handling related to plating and phosphating processes.

Ensure proper waste disposal, effluent treatment, and compliance with pollution control norms.

Maintenance & Asset Management

Develop and oversee a preventive and predictive maintenance plan for all machinery and plating units.

Coordinate with maintenance teams for breakdown resolution and spare part management.

Optimize machine life, energy consumption, and operational efficiency.

Team Leadership & Workforce Management

Lead a team of supervisors, engineers, and operators to achieve production goals.

Plan and execute training programs to enhance workforce skills and process knowledge.

Drive team motivation, discipline, and performance evaluation to maintain a productive work environment.

Customer & Vendor Coordination

Collaborate with customers to understand job requirements and deliver quality service.

Work with vendors for procurement of raw materials, consumables, and outsourced services.

Ensure effective communication with stakeholders for smooth workflow execution.

Reporting & Cost Control

Monitor KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) like OEE, yield, downtime, and production costs.

Prepare and analyze monthly production reports, cost analysis, and operational efficiency reports.

Identify cost reduction opportunities while maintaining quality and output.Role & responsibilities
