Java/Azure Developer - Cloud Apps (6-12 yrs)

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with expertise in Microsoft Azure to design, develop, and deploy scalable cloud-based applications. The ideal candidate will have strong Java development skills, hands-on experience with Azure services, and a deep understanding of cloud-native application architecture.

Key Responsibilities :

Application Development :

- Design and develop high-quality, scalable, and maintainable Java-based applications.

- Implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and serverless solutions.

Azure Integration :

- Develop and deploy applications using Azure services such as Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), and Azure SQL.

- Leverage Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and deployment.

Cloud Architecture :

- Design and implement cloud-native applications following best practices for scalability, resilience, and security.

- Optimize application performance and cost-efficiency on Azure.

Database and Data Management :

- Work with cloud-based databases like Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, or MySQL.

- Integrate and manage data pipelines using Azure Data Factory or similar tools.

Collaboration and Communication :

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, product owners, and QA engineers, to gather requirements and deliver solutions.

- Provide technical guidance on Java and Azure best practices.

Troubleshooting and Maintenance :

- Monitor application performance and resolve issues in a timely manner.

- Perform root cause analysis for incidents and implement preventive measures.

Documentation and Governance :

- Create and maintain technical documentation for applications and Azure configurations.

- Ensure compliance with organizational security and governance policies.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in Java and related frameworks (Spring Boot, Hibernate, etc.).

- Strong knowledge of Azure services, including Azure App Service, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service, and Azure Storage.

- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.

- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).

- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases, especially those offered by Azure (e.g., Cosmos DB, Azure SQL).

- Knowledge of messaging and event-driven architectures using tools like Azure Service Bus or Event Grid.

Experience :

- 4-8+ years of Java development experience.

- 2-4+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud services.

- Experience in cloud migration projects or building cloud-native applications.
