Power BI Architect - Power Query M (12-15 yrs)

Overview :

The Power BI Architect plays a crucial role in designing and implementing BI solutions that transform data into insights to drive better business decisions.

In this role, you will be responsible for setting the strategic vision for the Power BI data architecture within the organization while ensuring it aligns with the overall data strategy.

As a Power BI Architect, you will work closely with data engineers, business analysts, and stakeholders to leverage data from various sources and create engaging and insightful dashboards.

Your deep understanding of data modeling, data amalgamation, and hands-on experience in DAX and query optimization will be essential in optimizing the performance of BI reports and dashboards.

Key Responsibilities :

- Design and implement end-to-end BI solutions using Power BI.

- Define best practices for data governance, architecture, and analytics.

- Understand and analyze business requirements to translate them into technical specifications.

- Conduct data modeling and manage datasets for optimal report performance.

- Lead and mentor a team of BI developers and analysts.

- Implement ETL processes to bring data from diverse sources into Power BI.

- Create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations that convey insights clearly.

- Optimize Power BI performance and scalability for large data sets.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data flow and integration.

- Provide technical guidance in the use of DAX for report calculations.

- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices.

- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in BI technologies.

- Participate in project planning and estimation, ensuring timely delivery of BI solutions.

- Perform regular audits and assessments of existing BI solutions.

- Develop documentation for BI processes and solutions for knowledge sharing.

Required Qualifications :

- 12+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Architecture, or similar roles.

- Proven experience as a Power BI Architect or a similar position.

- Strong knowledge and experience in DAX and Power Query.

- Expertise in SQL and relational databases.

- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure/AWS.

- Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

- Demonstrated project management skills and experience.

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Relevant certifications in Power BI and data analytics preferred.
