Perform z/OS upgrades (versions 2.4, 2.5, or 3.1) using z/OSMF workflows to ensure smooth transitions and system reliability.
Provide comprehensive support for zHardware refresh projects across platforms such as z14, z15, and z16.
Manage and maintain software using SMP/E, ensuring timely upgrades and maintenance of Broadcom and IBM tools.
Implement and promote z/OS service improvement initiatives and industry best practices.
Build and manage configurations for new hardware using IODF, HCD, HMC, and IOCP.
Oversee and maintain core z/OS subsystems, including JES2, ISPF, TCP/IP, USS, and Parallel Sysplex.
Develop and support automation solutions using REXX and CLIST scripting languages.
Ensure robust Disaster Recovery support, preparing for and managing system recovery in critical situations.
Provide 24/7 on-call support to resolve system issues and maintain system availability.
Required Skills and Expertise:
Proven Expertise with zOS upgrades on 2.4, 2.5 or 3.1 with z/OSMF workflows.
Expertise in supporting zHardware Refresh projects z14, z15 and z16.
Expertise in SMP/E supporting Broadcom and IBM tools upgrades and maintenance
Expertise in z/OS Service improvement and best practice approaches.
Expertise in IODF, HCD, HMC, IOCP build for new Hardware refresh projects.
Experience working with z/OS, JES2, ISPF, TCPIP, USS and Parallel Sysplex.
Experience in REXX, CLIST with automation skillset.
Expertise in Disaster Recovery support.
