About the Role:

- We are looking for a passionate and experienced Design Lead to spearhead our design team.

- In this role, you'll balance hands-on design work with leadership responsibilities, setting quality benchmarks, driving productivity, and implementing best practices.

- You will directly contribute to crafting user-centric products that enhance patient and doctor experiences, while fostering a culture of innovation, creativity, and excellence within the team.

- This role reports into the VP & Head of Products.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Design Evangelism:

- Drive the adoption of design best practices, methodologies, and processes tailored for health tech products.

- Establish, evolve, and maintain design standards and systems to ensure consistency and usability across healthcare solutions.

- Facilitate design reviews and provide actionable feedback to continuously elevate team performance and product quality.

- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor products, healthcare innovations, and emerging design technologies to continuously enhance the team's capabilities.

Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor a team of designers, ensuring high-quality outputs and optimal throughput.

- Foster a collaborative and creative environment, promoting innovation and professional growth within the team.

- Provide strategic guidance and support to team members, helping them set and achieve professional development goals.

Individual Contribution:

- Operate effectively in an Individual Contributor (IC) capacity, delivering exceptional product designs from concept through to final execution.

- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Clinical, and Business stakeholders to translate healthcare objectives into user-centric design solutions.

- Advocate for users (patients, clinicians, healthcare providers) and ensure all designs prioritize user experience, usability, accessibility, and clinical accuracy.

Skills We are looking For:

- 6-8 years of experience in product design, with at least 2 years in a leadership or mentorship role.

- Proven track record of designing intuitive, visually appealing, and impactful digital health products.

- Expertise in relevant design tools

- Deep understanding of UX principles, user research methods, interaction design, and healthcare compliance considerations.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions and rationale to diverse stakeholders, including clinical and technical teams.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously
