Data Architect - AWS Platform (5-8 yrs)

About the Job :

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Architect to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust and scalable data solutions on AWS cloud platforms.

You will play a critical role in shaping our data strategy and ensuring that our data assets are effectively leveraged to drive business insights and innovation.

Roles and Responsibilities :

Data Platform Design and Architecture :

- Design, develop, and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud data platforms/solutions (i.e., data lakes, data warehouses, data pipelines) on AWS.

- Ensure data platform architecture aligns with business goals and evolving data needs.

- Define and implement data governance policies and standards.

Data Engineering & Analytics :

- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts to define and implement data pipelines and data transformation processes.

- Develop and maintain data quality standards and processes.

- Support the development and deployment of data-driven applications and analytical models.

Data Product Management :

- Define and manage the roadmap for data products and services.

- Identify and prioritize data product features and functionalities.

- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure product success.

Technical Leadership & Innovation :

- Stay abreast of the latest trends in data technologies and best practices.

- Identify and evaluate new technologies and tools to improve data platform capabilities.

- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Customer Engagement :

- Engage with customers to understand their data needs and challenges.

- Translate business requirements into technical solutions.

- Communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Data Migration & Integration :

- Plan and execute data migration projects from on-premises or other cloud environments to AWS.

- Integrate data from various sources (i.e., databases, APIs, cloud services) into the data platform.

Skills :

- Cloud Computing : Proficiency in AWS cloud services (i.e., EC2, S3, RDS, Redshift, EMR, Glue, Lambda) is essential.

- Experience with Google Cloud Platform is a plus.

- Data Modeling & Warehousing : Strong understanding of data modeling techniques (i.e., dimensional modeling, star schema) and data warehousing principles.

- Programming & Scripting : Proficiency in Python, Java, and SQL.

- Experience with scripting languages (i.e., Bash, PowerShell) is beneficial.

- Big Data Technologies : Familiarity with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and NoSQL databases.

- ETL & Data Integration : Experience with ETL tools and processes, including data extraction, transformation, and loading techniques.

- Cloud Security : Understanding of cloud security principles and best practices, including data encryption, access control, and threat detection.

- API Management : Knowledge of API management concepts and tools, including API design, development, and integration.

- Communication & Collaboration : Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.

- Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Customer Engagement : Strong customer engagement skills with the ability to understand customer needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Experience :

- 5+ years of experience as a Data Architect or in a similar role.

- Proven experience in designing and implementing cloud-based data platforms.

- Experience with Agile development methodologies
