Solutions Architect - Cloud Computing (12-18 yrs)

Key Responsibilities :

- Develop and document comprehensive architecture roadmaps, standards, and patterns.

- Analyze business problems, define scope, and translate business requirements into functional and non-functional requirements.

- Design and deliver detailed architecture blueprints, considering factors such as scalability, performance, security, and maintainability.

- Actively contribute to the Architecture Governance forum, documenting and tracking actions.

- Ensure adherence to architectural principles and standards across all projects.

- Lead and mentor junior architects and engineers.

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (i.e., development, operations, business stakeholders).

- Manage projects and deliverables effectively, ensuring timely and successful completion.

- Possess in-depth knowledge of at least two IT architecture disciplines (i.e., Solutions Architecture, Systems Architecture, Business Architecture).

- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and their potential application to business challenges.

- Understand and apply agile methodologies, providing guidance to agile project teams.

- Conduct 3-5 year Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analysis for proposed solutions.

- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills, both technical and business-oriented.

- Effectively communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and business audiences.

- (Desirable) Basic knowledge of UK Lending / Savings business processes.

Qualifications :

- Experience : 12-18 years of progressive experience in IT, with a strong focus on Solution Architecture.

- 5 years of experience developing/documenting Architecture Roadmaps, Standards & Patterns, and translating business problems into technical solutions.

- 3 years of experience contributing to Architecture Governance forums.

- 3 years of experience in Leadership, project management, and relationship management.

- 3 years of experience in excellent business and technical problem-solving skills.

- 3 years of experience in technology implementation.

- 3 years of experience in 3-5 year Total Cost Ownership analysis.

- 3 years of experience in "thinking big" and demonstrating strong analytical skills.

- 3 years of experience in bridging communications between technical and business audiences.

- 3 years of experience with multiple development methodologies (i.e., Agile, Waterfall).

- Specialist knowledge in at least two IT architecture disciplines.

- Detailed knowledge of strategic and emerging technologies.

- Detailed knowledge of agile methods and processes.

- Strong background in application and solution development.

- Detailed knowledge of Architecture and design methodologies.

- (Desirable) Basic knowledge of UK Lending / Savings business processes.

Education :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Advanced degree (i.e., Master's) is a plus.

Skills :

- Strong understanding of cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), DevOps principles, microservices architecture, API design, data modeling, security best practices.

- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.

- Proven leadership and teamwork skills, with the ability to mentor and guide junior team members
