As the Director/Head of Demand Generation, you will be instrumental in shaping and executing strategies to drive and accelerate pipeline growth for our enterprise software solutions. Your role will encompass planning, building, and managing both inbound and outbound marketing programs. You'll work closely with the VP of Marketing to craft, execute, and refine a dynamic marketing revenue strategy. Your focus will be on top-of-funnel activities, meeting MQL targets, and contributing to overall revenue through marketing efforts. You will lead a team of SEO, SEM, SDRs and Email marketing managers, supporting their professional development and ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategy Development: Design and implement multi-channel demand generation strategies that align with our target personas, audiences, and sales objectives to drive pipeline and revenue growth.
- Campaign Execution: Develop and launch lead-gen campaigns that engage prospects and customers throughout their lifecycle, ensuring effective execution of both targeted and broad-based demand generation initiatives.
- Messaging: Coordinate with the product and content writing team to create compelling and relevant messaging that resonates with buyers, accelerates their journey through the funnel, and enhances sales velocity.
- Performance Management: Oversee objectives across the marketing funnel, from initial contact to SQL, optimizing performance at each stage to build a predictable demand generation engine while maintaining alignment with ROI goals.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with executives, sales, marketing, product, and product marketing teams to ensure cohesive strategy and execution.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on best practices and emerging B2B marketing strategies and technologies, continually refining tactics to meet or exceed sales pipeline and revenue targets. Plan and execute team enablement & training to stay ahead of the curve on using new technology in demand generation.
- Data Analysis: Analyze the outcomes of marketing programs, derive actionable insights, and present results clearly to guide strategic decisions.
- Lead Management: Utilize knowledge of lead scoring and the B2B sales revenue lifecycle, including MQLs and SQLs, and be proficient with marketing automation platforms such as Hubspot, Salesforce and other tools such as ZoomInfo, bulk emailing, forms, and Webflow.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a team of SEO and SEM program managers, content writers, cold email executives and other support functions.
- Budget Oversight: Manage the marketing budget and report on ROI to ensure effective use of resources. Plan budget allocation across campaigns and channels after looking at ROI data.
Qualifications:
1. Proven experience in a demand generation leadership role, ideally within the B2B enterprise software sector or other complex technical markets with extended sales cycles. Minimum of 10 years of experience in the SaaS space.
2. Strong expertise in analyzing and optimizing conversion rates across the sales and marketing funnel.
3. Extensive knowledge of marketing technology and automation tools, including Google Ads, Google Search, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Bing Ads, LinkedIn, Hubspot, Salesforce and others.
4. Demonstrated success in executing demand generation programs across earned (SEO/SEM, website, email), paid (PPC, event sponsorships, social media), and owned channels (web, webinars, podcasts).
5. Direct experience managing SDRs or a strong track record of collaboration with SDR teams.
6. Expertise in data acquisition, management, and lead nurturing strategies.
7. Highly quantitative with exceptional data analysis skills.
8. Ability to work strategically and tactically on projects and campaigns.
9. Excellent decision-making skills regarding marketing spend allocation.
10. Self-motivated, results-oriented, and driven to achieve goals.
11. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
