Node.js Developer - Express.js (5-9 yrs)

We are looking for a Node.js Developer to join our engineering team and help us build scalable and efficient server-side applications.

You will be responsible for managing the interchange of data between the server and the users, as well as developing and integrating APIs for front-end functionalities.

Responsibilities :

- Develop and maintain server-side logic using Node.js and frameworks like Express.js.

- Design and implement RESTful APIs for consumption by various front-end interfaces.

- Implement security and data protection measures.

- Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

- Implement automated testing platforms and unit tests.

- Work closely with DevOps engineers to deploy and maintain applications.

- Troubleshoot and debug applications.

- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

Requirements :

- Bachelors degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- Proven experience as a Node.js Developer or similar role.

- Strong proficiency with JavaScript and its modern ES6+ syntax.

- Experience with Node.js frameworks such as Express.js.

- Familiarity with front-end technologies like HTML5, CSS3, and client-side JavaScript frameworks (e g, React, Vue.js).

- Experience with database systems such as MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc Understanding of asynchronous programming and its quirks and workarounds.

- Knowledge of RESTful web services and API design.

- Experience with version control systems (e g, Git).

- Good understanding of server-side templating languages (e g, EJS, Handlebars).

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- Problem-solving aptitude and analytical thinking.

Preferred Skills :

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

- Knowledge of microservices architecture.

- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.

- Experience with containerization and orchestration (e g, Docker, Kubernetes).

- Understanding of GraphQL and its concepts.

- Knowledge of security best practices in web development.
