Role & responsibilities

• Provide primary medical care to students and staff for illnesses and injuries that occur during school hours.
  
• Maintain up-to-date and confidential medical records for all students.
  
• Develop and lead health education initiatives focused on nutrition, hygiene, mental health, and preventive care, as required.
  
• Ensure the school's compliance with local, state, and national health regulations.
  
• Serve as the primary point of contact for medical emergencies, and coordinate with local hospitals and emergency services when needed.
  
• Supervise and guide the school nurse or any supporting medical staff.
  
• Maintain inventory of medical supplies and ensure they are well-stocked and compliant with health standards.

Preferred candidate profile

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution; valid medical license to practice.
  
• At least 2-5 years of clinical experience, ideally in pediatrics, family medicine, or a school environment.
  
• CPR and First Aid certification.
  
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  
• Strong organizational skills and a calm, responsive attitude in emergencies.
  

Desirable Attributes

• Experience working with children and adolescents in an educational setting.
  
• Familiarity with child safeguarding protocols and policies.
  
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to work with educators, counselors, and administrative staff.
